  1. Hmm

Just saw a picture posted on Facebook of a girl declaring that because bigger girls can be proud of their curves, skinny girls can be proud of their bones. And that it’s not fair to tell a skinny person to gain weight unless they can tell a bigger girl to lose weight.

And I don’t necessarily disagree with this, I’m not against skinny girls. But when big girls complain about skinny girls, it’s usually because they’re saying things like “Omg I’m so fat”. It just makes us feel uncomfortable because if a size 2 girl sees herself as “fat”, a size 6 girl must be obese in comparison, right?

I realize that some of these girls have psychological issues and legitimately see themselves as something that they believe is fat and I wish it wasn’t that way because nobody deserves to hate the way they look. But I also think that there are a lot of girls who just want to be reassured that they are indeed “hot” and not “fat”.

If you love yourself for being big or thin, that’s fine. But learn to love others for their bodies too. Don’t call people “too fat” or “too skinny”, that’s not for you to decide unless you’re a doctor and it’s affecting their health.
